If you look real close, you can see a little diamondy stud in my cartilage. Most people do this kind of thing in high school or college but...I didn't get around to it in high school and my college had rules about how many piercings girls were allowed to have. (Two piercings total, in the lobe only. And I'm serious about this.)So now, several years late, I finally pierce my cartilage.

Happy that you finally got to get the piercing you've always wanted. It looks great!
Sad that you had to wait...I didn't even know about the piercing rule...I have 7, but usually only wore 4, 2 in lobe 2 in cart. Hmmm. Could that be why I was asked to wear my hair down while working at the bookstore of our alma mater?
